A very common mistake is over blow-drying or using a blow dryer on high heat instead of medium setting. Towel dry your hair first, add your frizz gel or straightening lotion. Then just blow your hair around till you get it a little bit more than damp. Then you take a round brush that's at least 1 1\2 inches or more depending on the length of your hair. Hit it with the air on medium heat then let it cool a few seconds then unroll. That should help smooth it out. You can also use just a little bit, "a couple of pea size drops" of conditioner in your hair before You finish blow-drying. Then after you finish drying then try some shine drops. It helps smooth the outer layer and seal in a shine. Refer to my blow dry techniques for curly hair.
